This Cookie Policy explains how InSkillBoost uses cookies and similar technologies (local storage included). It complements our Privacy Policy.
1. Why there is no cookie banner
Consent banners exist to authorize non-essential trackers — advertising cookies, third-party analytics, social pixels. We use none of those. Everything the Site writes to your browser is strictly necessary to make a feature you asked for work, and the law (EU ePrivacy Directive, Quebec Law 25, PIPEDA) exempts strictly necessary storage from consent. A banner would ask permission for things we do not do.
2. What the Site actually stores

No advertising cookie. No third-party analytics cookie. No social-media tracker. Nothing at all is written for a visitor who only reads courses without signing in.
3. Audience measurement without cookies
We measure traffic with our own counter, hosted in our own database. It records the page viewed, the referring site, the device family, the interface language and the country derived from your browser's time zone — and it stores nothing on your device: no cookie, no local-storage entry, no fingerprint that survives the day. Details are in section 2.3 of the Privacy Policy.
4. How to manage storage
- Signing out removes your authentication token.
- Your browser's privacy settings can block or delete cookies and local storage at any time (blocking the authentication token simply signs you out).
5. Do Not Track (DNT) and Global Privacy Control (GPC)
These signals target cross-site tracking and data sale. We do neither, for anyone, regardless of signals.

If you sign in with Google or GitHub, the sign-in happens on their site under their own policies; they set no cookie on ours.

We may update this Cookie Policy when our practices or applicable laws change. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision.
